While electronic medical records (EMRs) provide important clinical context, they often lack granular, real-time data on seizure frequency and medication adherence. This prospective study leverages the Helpilepsy app—a validated commercial seizure tracking tool—to collect detailed, patient-reported data on daily seizure activity and medication intake.
Our goal is to identify patterns and improve understanding of optimal treatment combinations. Ongoing efforts focus on integrating these data with additional sources, including EMRs, patient registry questionnaires, and potential use of wearable devices.
How it works
Once downloading the free Helpilepsy app, email us at info@snc8a.net to get enrolled.
We then ask caregivers to log daily seizure, medication intake, mood and sleep of their child.
Once there is a month of consistent logging we will fully enroll participants into the study, which includes filling out a REDcap based questionnaire.
